Through safe, healing spaces, transformative mentorship, creative workshops and leadership development programmes, we walk alongside young women as they reclaim their voice, rewrite their narrative, and rise into their fullest, most radiant selves.

Story
From Healing to Helping Others Shine
Let Her Shine was born from a place of deep reflection, resilience, and restoration.
Our founder, Priscilla Ohene, created this charity after walking through her own journey of trauma, silence, and survival. Like many young women, she had once felt invisible, neglected, unheard and burdened by experiences that tried to define her. As she began her healing, something shifted. She realised her pain was not the end of her story, it was the beginning of a calling.
Priscilla knew she couldn’t be the only one.
There were countless other girls and young women who, like her, had experienced abuse, abandonment, or neglect and didn’t know where to turn. They needed more than sympathy. They needed space.
Safety. Support. They needed someone who understood.
So she built Let Her Shine, a charity rooted in compassion, truth, and transformation. What started as a dream became a movement dedicated to helping young women evolve from their pasts and step into their future with boldness and belief.
